Samples & Sample Lab
Approve before you commit.
The cheapest mistake in salt buying is committing to a container of a grade you have never held. Sampling exists to remove that risk: test the real grade, in the real pack, before a single order is confirmed.
Risk reversal
Why we insist on samples first
Salt is bought on specification — grain, colour, purity, pack — and specifications are hard to judge from a photograph. A sample turns a description into something you can hold, pour, taste and show your own customers. If it is wrong, you have lost days, not a container.
Sample Lab
Sample kits by range
Rather than one generic sample, request the kit that matches what you actually sell. Each kit is assembled for the range, not pulled from a shelf at random.
Pink salt kit
Edible pink grades from fine powder to chunks, plus retail pack formats — the foundation range, tested first by most buyers.
White salt kit
White rock salt grades for buyers who need a clean, neutral salt alongside or instead of pink.
Black & sea salt kit
Black salt and sea salt grades for culinary, bath and specialty lines — each grade distinct, each tested on its own merits.
Lamps & décor samples
Where applicable, lamps and décor pieces can be sampled too — shape, finish and pack confirmed at request, as with every sample format.
How sampling works
Five steps, no surprises
Tell us product, grade and pack
What salt, what grain or mesh, what pack — and where it is going. That is all we need to begin.
We confirm
We confirm the sample, its format, and the freight and duty position at quotation — before anything is sent.
Sample sent
Your sample is prepared from the grade you specified and dispatched as agreed.
You test
Check colour, grain, texture, taste where edible, and pack — against your market's needs, not just ours.
You approve as reference standard
Approved, the sample becomes the reference standard for the order. Nothing is produced to a different grade without your say-so.
Honest limits
What a sample proves — and does not prove
It proves
- • The grade: colour, grain, texture and general appearance.
- • The pack: format, material and labelling approach.
- • Fitness for your use: cooking, retail shelf, spa, décor or processing.
It does not prove
- • A future batch: every batch is tested separately.
- • The shipment's exact test results: the batch COA governs the shipment.
- • Destination compliance: labelling and food law are confirmed by the buyer.
That distinction is the point of the batch COA: the sample approves the grade, the COA verifies the batch. Both matter, and neither replaces the other.
Sample types
What you can sample
Edible grades. Fine powder through to chunks, milled to your specification — the grades most buyers test first.
Retail packs. Pouches, jars, shakers and grinders in the sizes you intend to sell, so shelf presence is judged honestly.
Lamps and décor, where applicable. Shape, finish and pack for lamp and décor lines, confirmed at request like every sample format.
No invented sample sizes or weights. Sample format is confirmed at request — what you receive matches what you asked to test, not a standard size invented for this page.
Cost and timing
Cost and freight, stated honestly
Sampling itself is free and fast, per the existing site claim. Freight and any duties on a sample are confirmed at quotation — free international freight is not promised, and no fixed number of days is promised for delivery. What is promised is that the freight and duty position is confirmed before the sample is sent, so there is no surprise charge on arrival.
After approval
From approved sample to shipment
Approval turns the sample into the reference standard, but it does not itself create an order. The order follows in writing: specification, packaging, documentation, trade term and payment term confirmed in the quotation or order confirmation, production against the approved grade, batch testing and COA, and dispatch with the standard shipment documents.
