Salzenith (brand of MAS Mubarak Foods Pvt Ltd, Pakistan) exports Himalayan pink salt products worldwide, with the USA as a primary market. This policy explains how we quote, pack, document, and ship export orders. The specific Incoterm, packaging, and schedule for your order are always confirmed in the quotation and proforma invoice.
1. How we quote: per metric ton
We quote per metric ton (MT), not per container:
- 1 MT = 1,000 kg
- Our standard bulk pack is a 25 kg polypropylene (PP) bag with polyethylene (PE) liner
- 1 MT = 40 × 25 kg bags
Quotations follow a transparent pricing ladder by Incoterm: EXW → FOB → CFR → CIF, where each step adds the relevant cost layer (export formalities and loading, then ocean freight, then marine insurance). The final price always reflects actual grade, particle size, packaging, quantity, and destination — never a generic “Himalayan pink salt” figure.
2. Incoterms we work with
| Incoterm | What it means in practice |
|---|---|
| EXW (Ex Works) | Goods made available at our facility in Pakistan; the Buyer handles pickup and everything onward. |
| FOB (Free On Board) | We handle export clearance and loading the goods on board the vessel; risk and main freight pass to the Buyer from there. |
| CFR / CNF (Cost and Freight) | We pay export formalities plus ocean freight to the destination port. Marine insurance is not included. |
| CIF (Cost, Insurance and Freight) | CFR plus marine insurance arranged and paid by us. |
| DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) | We deliver to the Buyer’s agreed destination, handling import clearance and applicable duties/taxes. |
The agreed Incoterm is stated on every proforma invoice and commercial invoice, and risk transfers according to that Incoterm.
3. Packaging standards
- Bulk export: 25 kg PP bag with PE liner (moisture protection). Jumbo bags (up to 1 MT) available for suitable products.
- Retail / private label: 125 g – 5 kg formats — stand-up pouches, food-grade plastic jars, shakers, and grinders — with custom labelling as agreed.
- Custom packaging (sizes, materials, buyer branding) is available and specified per order.
- Pink salt is hygroscopic (it can absorb ambient moisture), so all export packaging is moisture-resistant and goods should be stored dry on receipt. This is a material property, not a defect.
4. Export documentation provided
For each commercial shipment we provide, as applicable to the order and destination:
- Commercial Invoice
- Packing List
- Bill of Lading (B/L)
- Certificate of Origin (COO)
- Certificate of Analysis (COA) — batch-specific, for the goods actually shipped
- Fumigation Certificate (where required)
- Halal Certificate (where required)
- Additional documents (e.g. phytosanitary, legalized or consular documents) as the destination requires and as agreed in the order
We are registered on Pakistan Single Window (PSW) and handle Pakistan export-clearance formalities as part of our process.
5. Lead times
Lead time is confirmed per order in the quotation/proforma invoice. It covers: production/processing, grading and packaging, laboratory testing and COA issuance, labelling and batch coding, export documentation, any agreed third-party inspection, and vessel booking. Because these steps vary by product, quantity, and season, we quote realistic schedules per order rather than promising fixed standard timelines.
6. Customs and inspection
All shipments undergo Pakistan customs export clearance. Please note that the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) in Pakistan routinely checks export containers and may occasionally require a container to be opened for inspection. This is a standard regulatory procedure; where it occurs we cooperate fully and keep the Buyer informed of any schedule impact.
7. Shipping lines and logistics
We work with major international shipping lines serving Pakistan’s ports. Vessel and sailing selection is arranged per shipment to balance transit time and freight cost, and is reflected in CFR/CIF/DDP quotations.
8. Receiving your goods
On arrival, please check the shipment promptly against the packing list and COA, and store the goods in dry conditions. Any discrepancy or quality concern should be reported as described in our Refund and Returns Policy.
Questions about a specific shipment: info@salzenith.com. Quality claims are handled under our Refund and Returns Policy; commercial terms under our Terms & Conditions.
